  1. Wow, what an amazing post. I have noticed that many people in the world purposely try to hide their pain. Its almost as if they are asleep. Its like we had to fall into sex addiction in order to begin to wake up to the pain we were and still are feeling. Its that crying we do when we are all alone or with someone who cares that begins to take us out of the darkness and when we raise ourselves out of the darkness we can be fixed and maybe even start fixing the world around us.

    I think if you don’t shortcut those stages and make sure you’re progressing through each one, you’ll see progress. I also recommend “Healing the Child Within” By Charles Whitfield for more detail on working through grief in a recovery context.
